Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any dance experience?
We teach all steps from the very beginning so no experience is required.

What level lessons do you teach?
In group lessons we teach beginner level, improver level, improver plus level and intermediate level, but in private lesson we can teach up to advanced level in all dances.

Do I need a partner?
No you do not need a partner; we change partners throughout the lesson. So everyone gets to dance with each other. This helps with the learning of the dance and is a great way of socialising with new people.

How long do private lessons last for?
Private lessons last for 45 minutes and are customised for you individual needs.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code. You can wear whatever you like. Usually best at the beginning to wear something comfy until you get a little more used to the movements.

What shoes should I wear?
Make sure you wear something that is comfortable for you, which will stay on your foot i.e. no flip flops!
If you wear heels make sure they are not too high and that you can walk in them as if you cannot walk in them you will not be able to dance in them!

Do I need to book for the group lessons?
The classes are run on an informal drop-in basis. You do not have to sign up for a block of classes or have to pay an initial fee to join. All you have to do is come along to the most convenient night for you and enjoy yourself. However workshops and private lessons do have to be booked in advance.

Can I join any week?
Yes. You can start learning with us at any time. The lessons are structured so that every class at any venue you can participate no matter what level you are.
